I added key light fill light and rim light  in key areas such as the shoulders and his hair using the overlay layer feature in gimp along with playing with the opacity of the layers to make peter pan stand out.

Lighting on a Sphere

I labeled the shadow terms on this sphere. I used a circle selection to create a perfect circle and masked it so that it was only the sphere getting coloured. The rest was all freehand
